Why Live the Good Life?
Growing up in Somalia I know what the crap life is all about. I’ve lived poor and rich in my life, and choose rich life every time. No one in the Somali and US school systems teaches anyone about money. Common questions are never discussed in school like what is money? Where does money come from? How is money created? How can you multiply money? How do you grow money? Anyone that is financially successful in life has had to face these challenging questions on there journey uphill.
It’s not always easy. Many people have different background situations. Some people have massive amounts of debt, whether that’s college debt or equity debt. Having kids while trying to be financially successful can be detrimental. The first step is understanding how money works. Most people fail to comprehend how and why the good life is the right answer. If you want more time and money on your side, the good life is something you aspire for then. The 99% in the world have to work for money, economic slavery, versus the rich having their money work for them, ownership. At some point in your life you have to figure out which side of the table you want to sit on.
People ask me all the time, how can I have my money work for me? An important point to make is to be aware of your income/saving situation. Most people will spend money they make, which is why most people are poor. You must save money to invest it. My personal favorite investments are apartment complexes and lead generation websites. Both investments pay me in and out every month. Cashflow is king. It is very difficult to reach that level. It takes a lot of effort and intense focus. Everything has to take a back seat to your business. Until your business is your daily obsession, your business will be just simply a hobby that isn’t producing cash for you.
All the great business men and women in the world continue to work hard and build, build, build. Allowing your potential to cap out is a terrible mindset/philosophy. Always learning and having a thirst for the next step in your business is the key. You must do everything you can in your day to build and protect your business. You have to continue to ask yourself everyday, “Is what I’m doing right now getting me one step closer to where I want to be?” If the answer is no then you know you have work to do. You can never settle, if you’re not growing you’re dying.
Surrounding yourself with the right people is also a very vital part of the process of being successful. If you’re constantly around negative people your going to be negative it’s basic psychology. The term, “you are who you hangout with” can’t be anything more true. If you truly want the good life you have to be obsessed and find like minded individuals that are just as obsessed. Don’t let anyone or anything get in your way until you get to where you want to be.
