Great article. For your websites, did you create a sub-domain version of your desktop site like m.domain.com? I am trying to do that for my site http://www.effectivemusicteaching.com, so when the mobile pack detects a mobile user, it will redirect the user to the mobile sub-domain. I’m just wondering, do I need to transfer a copy of my WordPress files from the main site into the sub-domain directory? (Then edit and simplify the mobile version?) If I do that, will the WordPress database work on both? Thanks!

This is a great list – a quick review of them in terms of how/whether they work well would be really useful. Video and images are the two WP areas I seem to have issues with from time to time. Thanks for the list though.

Awesome! This, together with the Lorelle Van Fossen article saved me and my associates many hours of re-work changing the URLs of hundreds of images uploaded when our site was under GoDaddy’s preveiwdns system. GoDaddy should warn people about that!

Great review! Nice to hear of a book written for people getting into WordPress development. There are plenty of resources out there for noobs and for people who already know their way around the code, but can be harder to find information in that middle area. I didn’t know that podpress had been revived either. Thanks for the tip
